Linnéa Nordberg's paintings starts in an unarticulated state. Something must be caught in a visual space. The image is in the consciousness before the thought gets into words. Moving in the mind can be as wandering around. To climb in inaccessible terrain. To look for a roughness in the surface where the fingers can take hold. Gain a foothold to continue forward, upward, to move on. A painting is a halting place on the road.
Linnéa was born in 1958 in Svartbjörnbyn, in the northern part of Sweden. Until 2013 resident in Enskede in Stockholm than moved to Gotland, an island in the Baltic Sea. Over the years, the work as an artist has been combined with project managing for art in public space, partly within a public authority and partly as a freelance consultant. Travel that has influenced her artwork is mainly stays in Morocco.
